COVID-19 Contract Tracing, by John Hopkins University

Our Mission: COVID-19 Contact Tracing

Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, Prodigal Sons and Daughters has extended our mission to assist in local, state, and national efforts to fight the virus. Across the country, there is widespread recruitment for tracers through partnerships with local governments, community organizations and local health departments. Contact tracing is a prominent disease control measure that has been in place for decades and is a crucial part of preventing the spread of COVID-19. While contact tracing is usually carried out by health professionals, health departments have been granted special permission to recruit additional workforce to help with the containment of the virus.

Did You Know?

An infected person can become infectious up to 2 days before they are even symptomatic. Just 15 minutes in the presence of an infected person can cause transmission. What can we do for people who don’t know that they may have been exposed and how can we prevent further spread? We need to contact every positive case to find out who they have been in contact with, then we have to let those contacts know that they may need to quarantine, isolate or get tested! The Nation needs thousands of tracers to do this. Complete the free COVID-19 Contact Tracing Training, by Johns Hopkins University to receive certification and join the army tracers!
